About Excell Technology

Established in 1954, our parent business, J. W. Hodges Company, was an equipment and consumables leader during the heyday of America's manufacturing boom. The company served machine shops and many different industries, including energy, electronics, semiconductors, and steel. During the 1970s, operations expanded to rebuild equipment for the automotive and aerospace industries.
Excell Technology opened for business in 1985, with J.W. Hodges' 31-year heritage of quality, service and reliability. We hit the ground running, and have been serving customers and growing our success ever since. We soon added emerging markets to our repertoire and expertise, reconditioning surface technology equipment such as grinding, lapping, polishing, sawing, and slicing machines we acquired from IBM, Hewlett Packard, Motorola and Seagate.
Operating from our 20,000 square-foot facility, Excell Technology installs across diverse applications, including ceramic, electronics, gallium arsenide, glass, quartz, optics, metals, sapphire, seals, storage media, solar, silicon crystal and silicon. Our satisfied customers include small and medium-sized businesses and international manufacturing giants.
Today, we hold ourselves to the highest standards, using OEM specifications as our quality benchmark. Our processes and equipment models may have changed over the years, but our operating values are still the same: quality, service, and reliability.
